I hope this is okay to post here as I don't have an actual picture of the dog seen in question, but I knew what it looked like so have used a stock photo instead.
On driving home lunchtime (30/06/09) I saw a blue merle border collie type dog running up and down the country lane called Lower Higham Road exact postcode is DA12 2NZ.
I tried to coax it to me to see if it had a collar and tag but it was too scared. Unfortunatly it ran into a horses field and I lost sight of it.
It was medium size, blue merle border collie type about 6-8 years possibly a little older. Cannot say for sure.
Just in case anyone is looking. It looked almost exactly like this photo but slightly older, smaller and a bit dirty. It was also more solid grey than this photo and had what looked like a glassy eye.
UPDATE: This dog is apprently not lost but is let out by itself and allowed to wander the local area. Alot of people have seen it and reported it as lost but its like a latchkey dog

Hi we have 'fostered' a lovely lurcher bitch about a year old i guess i enclose pics of her we call her ellie as she is so elegant! She was found asleep in the road in Brumbo near wrexham on the 4th of april she is sprayed with purple spray all up her legs and some on her nose so she belonged to someone! she is house trained and kind. She either needs to find her people or a new set as we cannot keep her as we already have a rescue dog and landlords are not impressed can you log her on your site please and email me any other contacts for lurchers where i can try and find her a home i have spoken to authorities with no luck thanks Kate

Male Neutered Yorkshire Terrier cross, found outside Somerfield, Chepstow early hours of 31/01/09. Not microchipped. Mostly black, brown face and legs. Long, almost wiry hair. Leather collar, generally well behaved, seems to develop close contact with one person.
At Valgrays Border Collie Rescue we have a border collie bitch, black and white. She was picked up as a 'stray' in Thornton Heath, nr. Croydon some time ago. We think she has been lost or stolen; may be not recently stolen - may be a year or even 2 years back? She is not your average stray ... reason:
She seems to have been obedience trained. She may well have come from another area, county, country..... her level obedience is:
She retrieves, loves balls and toys, she recalls, she presents, does distance control (sit, down and if you say 'ready' she stands - she doesn't even seem to come forward during this!) and her response is quick. She does the german and english finish.
Do you know anyone who may have lost this collie - even ages ago - from a show, home, walk? Anyone at dog training clubs, pet clubs lost a dog - anyone been on holiday who may not know this dog is yet missing? There is nothing on doglost.
We do have other distinctive things she has and only the owner will know these?
Would be lovely to reunite this collie girl......... so please cross post, tell everyone.
Found in Porthmadog, North Wales on January 14th 2009. Beige Westie / Terrier Cross? Big ears! No collar. Lovely little boy. Email mastersdom@hotmail.com
No Name was found on Sunday 25 Nov 2007, no collar, looking very dirty with a heavily mattered coat; however she was hungry but not thin. She came home with my two boys - Gordon Setters - where she had some tripe a cuddle and very long bath followed by a very long groom. At best guess she is a Tibetan Terrier x Bearded Collie about a year old ish - perhaps a bit younger but over 6 months. Monday morning we went off to the Vets - no chip - they gave her the once over she is in fine health. I have put up posters where I found her - talked to all the regulars - no one knows her! I have reported her to the police. If after the 7 days she is not claimed we intend to keep her - my boys really do like her, of course if her owners turn up wonderful.
